Automotive Service Advisor

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Summary: As the "face" of Barbee Auto, you are the bridge between our customers and our technicians. We need a high-energy Service Advisor who excels at building trust and can manage a fast-paced workflow involving everything from routine maintenance to custom performance builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, document vehicle concerns accurately, and open Repair Orders (ROs).

• Provide transparent, detailed estimates for repairs, custom exhaust work, and bodywork.

• Actively communicate with technicians to provide customers with real-time status updates.

• Drive shop revenue by recommending necessary maintenance and performance upgrades.

• Manage parts ordering and inventory tracking for scheduled jobs.

• Handle customer checkout and follow up to ensure 5-star satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a high-volume automotive sales role.

• Basic mechanical knowledge to explain repairs (Exhaust, AC, Brakes, Collision).

• Proficiency with shop management software.

• Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills.

• A "customer-first" attitude consistent with a family-owned business vibe.

• Exceptional Communication: You are a clear, active listener who can explain complex repairs with patience and clarity.

• Integrity & Trust: You build long-term relationships. You never upsell something a customer doesn't need—honesty is our best marketing tool.

• Organization & Multitasking: You can handle a ringing phone, a customer at the desk, and a tech with a question—all while staying calm and professional.

• Conflict Resolution: When a customer is stressed about their car, you remain the "calm in the storm," finding solutions that work for both the shop and the client.
